Terms of Use

Last updated: July 29, 2026

WordThanks is published by Frog Stone Media. By using the site you agree to what follows. It is short, and none of it is a trap.

Using our wording examples

The thank-you notes on this site exist to be used. Copy them, adapt them, sign your name to them, and send them to whoever deserves the thanks. That is the entire point, and you need no permission from us to do it.

What you may not do is take our wording collections wholesale and republish them as a competing list, in print or online, with or without credit. The individual notes are yours to send. The curated pages, the guides, the site design, and the images are ours, and they are protected by copyright.

Quoting a passage from a guide with a link back to the page it came from is welcome and needs no permission.

What this site is not

WordThanks offers etiquette guidance, not professional advice. Some pages touch on situations that carry real weight, such as bereavement, workplace relationships, and job interviews. Treat what you read here as a thoughtful starting point rather than a rule, and use your own judgment about your own relationships. We are not liable for how a note lands.

Accuracy

We work to keep the etiquette guidance current and correct, and we fix mistakes when we learn about them. Even so, the site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Prices, availability, and product details on the gift guides change constantly and may be out of date by the time you read them. Always confirm on the retailer's own page.

Links to other sites

We link out to retailers and to sources we find useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Our commercial relationships are set out on the disclosure page.

Your saved notes

The Note Builder and Saved Notes features keep your drafts in your own browser rather than on our servers. We cannot see them, and we cannot recover them for you. Clearing your browser data will delete them permanently, so copy anything you want to keep.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Frog Stone Media is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will tell you when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
